Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tool Install Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing and configuring tools and equipment according to technical specifications and blueprints. Experience with VESDA Fire Alarm systems is highly preferred. You’ll work closely with engineers, contractors, and fellow technicians to ensure installations are completed safely, accurately, and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Install and configure tools and equipment per detailed specifications and schematics.

+ Perform mechanical and electrical hookups, alignments, and calibrations.

+ Read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and blueprints.

+ Collaborate with on-site teams to coordinate installation activities.

+ Conduct safety checks and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.

+ Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues as they arise.

+ Maintain accurate documentation of installations and service activities.

Required Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED.

+ 0–1 year of experience in telecommunications, construction, or a related technical field

+ Mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn.

+ Basic knowledge of construction practices preferred.

+ Ability to use hand and power tools effectively.

+ Strong communication skills and a solid work ethic.

+ Valid driver’s license preferred (must meet company driving standards).

Preferred Skills:

+ Experience with VESDA Fire Alarm systems

+ Low voltage cabling (Cat5, Cat6)

+ Cable termination, punchdown, and testing

+ Installation and troubleshooting of cabling systems

+ Familiarity with construction environments

Tools You’ll Use:

Basic Tools: Screwdrivers, drywall saw, torpedo level, tape measure, snips, pliers, hammer, wrench set, cable stripper, flashlight, gloves

Specialized Tools: Punch down tools, tone sets, crimp tools

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.99 - $22.99/hr.
