Industrial Engineering Technologists and Technicians

Position Summary: Conceives, investigates, evaluates, and makes recommendations for new equipment, tooling and processes to improve safety, reliability, capacity and reduce costs. Performs complex analysis, design, and/or assembly related to manufacturing or industrial engineering projects . Investigates and analyzes unique or highly technical manufacturing or industrial engineering assignments and provides technical assistance in establishing operational procedures and methods . Performs technical surveillance of a complex nature in the control of product, design concepts, and specification requirements . Evaluates engineering changes and determines appropriate labor or equipment standards to meet specification requirements. Utilizes systematic problem solving and data collection to identify and resolve problems, including driving cost and downtime reduction. Leads and/or participates in health, safety, environmental, production, material control, Sig Sigma and R&D project teams. Writes weekly activity and project reports, develops action plans, and generates work instructions, test procedures and other documentation to support production operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include , but are not limited to :

+ Develop aircraft fabrication, assembly, and installation work instructions by evaluating engineering drawings, tool designs, process specifications, and equipment specifications

+ Evaluate and recommend tools and equipment for the support of manufacturing

+ Perform root cause corrective action for the support of manufacturing

+ Train and work with other engineers and planners

+ Prioritize and adjust work flow to meet customer needs

+ Participate and incorporate Lean Manufacturing and initiatives

+ Provide liaison support for production floor via work instruction and manufacturing bill of materials modifications

+ Understand and be aware of customer schedules and current engineering resources to match the needs and delivery dates on the schedule

+ Knowledge of Special Outside Processing operations

+ Knowledge of precision machined component manufacturing in an Aerospace environment.

+ Ability to create process plans for CNC machining and assembly operations in an ERP system

+ Knowledge of machined electronic enclosures preferred (Fastened, Bonded, Brazed)

+ CAD/CAM proficiency in NX or Solidworks preferred

**Duties & Responsibilities:**

+ Assist with equipment operation, maintenance, and cutters/tooling procurement.

+ Assist with physical dimension verification using on machine tool and support inspection of parts to ensure quality and accuracy

+ Performs all machine set-ups in accordance with Standard Work outline without assistance.

+ Performs all work in a safe manner, to include proper use of personal protective equipment.

+ Follows Specification of inspections as noted. Ensuresproduct output meets drawing requirements per AQL standards.

+ Participation in Lean activities/trainings and active use of Lean tools in daily operations to include SQDCC, Hr. X Hr., Charts and Lean Engagement programs, 5S and other programs as directed.

+ Utilizes properly calibrated precision measuring instruments such as calipers, depth gages, thread gages, pin gages, and other measuring tools.

+ Trains other employees in basic and complex machine operator techniques and related departmental sub-functions.

+ Be highly visible to associates and promote hands-on, high involvement approaches to problem solving.

+ Fill in for the Leads when they are out.

+ Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

**Work Experience:**

+ **Minimum of 3 years as a CNC** **set up/operator**

+ **Prior experience with machine setups and troubleshooting**

**Preferred Skills and Experience** **:**

+ General knowledge of CNC program accuracy.

+ Familiar with CNC tool path programs

+ Provide tooling selection, set-up documentation as needed

+ Ability to trouble-shoot CNC programs for issues and errors.

+ Experience with using standard inspection tools and methods in the evaluation of machined parts.

+ Familiarity with Haas/Fanuc Machines.

+ Technical degree or certification related to Machine Tool Technology or Manufacturing Engineering

This **Sr. Principal Engineer / Staff** GNC Engineer be responsible for performing GNC trade studies on our cooperative development partners component configuration (examples include total impulse trades, actuator sizing, fin loading, tactical interface bandwidth, nozzle misalignment trades, thrust sizing, and battery sizing). Salary Range: $118,600.00 - $178,000.00Salary Range 2: $147,400.00 - $221,500.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. **JOB SUMMARY**

This job performs business analysis tasks by supporting stakeholders of a specific system application(s), handling user inquiries/issues, and enhancements to the system. The incumbent has a deep understanding of a specific application or set of applications he/she supports, how users use the application, and what other systems integrate with the application. Understands how work is being conducted, and through analysis, determines solutions to the issue(s). Works with stakeholders to identify solutions that may include training, a process change, or modifications to business rules. Traces business requirements through to test plans and cases, reducing time to fix issues and identify anomalies. The incumbent interfaces with positions that are directly involved in the hard-key programming of applications as roles involved in the analysis of the overall business process(es). Uses functional and organizational knowledge to mentor junior resources.

**ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES**

+ Take a lead role with customers, Application Developers, and other team members to capture capability needs and drive quality business solutions on complex issues. Create and maintain deliverables such as business vision, requirements, personalization to different clients, and user interface design.

+ Participate in the full project life cycle by actively taking a lead role on project teams, based upon experience and need.

+ Provide required business and/or subject matter expertise for both project and production related activities on complex issues, including new strategic programs or initiatives impacting current and existing systems.

+ Ensure compliance for required standards (e.g. SOC 2) and all necessary approvals have been obtained throughout the project lifecycle.

+ Interface with the business areas, technical staff, and project teams to drive value, return on investments and innovative solutions. This includes providing alternative solutions with maximum benefits while reducing cost (e.g. cost benefit analysis, pros/cons of solutions).

+ Take lead role in supporting various aspects of requirements testing (e.g. testing plan, testing scenarios, testing schedule, testing outcomes, user task analysis, documentation, defect management, results analysis) to ensure minimal production defects are realized.

+ Run system reports and/or create more complex ad-hoc reports, pulling data from various sources. Conduct more complex analysis of the reports to ensure system performance and/or results.

+ Communicate in an exemplary manner with team members, partners and management, including reporting project status, enabling solutions, and providing accurate and concise documentation.

+ Provide thought leadership and strategic direction in Product and Technology Solutions.

The typical pay range for this role is:

$106,605.00 - $284,280.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
